Hello,
During the install process of HDE your given the opportunity to upload a security file to ZA for safe keeping in the event you have some kind of issue a Decryption bootable CD can be made. You will also be given the opportunity to create a decryption CD ISO which you must burn yourself to a CD and store away for safe keeping. Plus you can do as suggest already back up to an external drive which we will not encrypt. Forum moderator

I have a question about creating recovery disks. Can I create more than one? For example, can I create a USB Key recovery disk. and then immediately rerun the wizard to create an ISO? will they both still work? I am wondering because there seems to be some logging of creation times going on, which might suggest that only the most recently produced recovery device might be accepted.

You can make as many as you want.
But if you either decrypt and re-encrypt or change the login password then you just create new recovery media. The old media is no longer valid for your drive. Forum Moderator
