When you open IE8 click Alt + L key on your keyboard, it will bring up Internet Explorer Help or F1 key will do the same.

Under Contents, look under folder Digging Deeper into Internet Explorer and expand this folder.Click Reset Internet Explorer to
the default settings.

Read the information in how to reset Internet Explorer settings.

Then go to Tools / Internet Options / Advanced and click Reset button.Resets Internet Explorer settings to their default conditions.
